A Retreat beneath the Canarian Sun

From the comfort of Playa Grande to the wild beauty of Papagayo, Lanzarote offers coastlines for every desire. Playa Grande is the natural starting point from the hotel. The coves of Papagayo await those willing to go a little further. The island always has a coastline for what you need.

The Beach That Begins at the Door

There are few things better than waking up knowing that the beach is a two-minute walk away.

Plus Fariones is on the seafront of Playa Grande. Three kilometres of golden sand, calm waters and the liveliest promenade in Puerto del Carmen. No car, no parking, no planning. Just go down and choose where to lay your towel.

For many, that is enough. But Lanzarote has more, and from here it is easy to go and find it.

The Other Side of the Coast

Papagayo is less than an hour away. To get there, you leave the main road and cross an arid landscape of rock and low shrubs. There are no flashy signs or beach bars. And then the first cove appears. The reaction is always the same: stopping still. The water is so clear that you can see the seabed from above. The sand is white. There is no music. Only the sound of the water and the feeling of having arrived somewhere that was not part of the plan.

Papagayo forms part of the Los Ajaches Natural Monument, where construction is limited and the landscape remains exactly as it is. If you are looking for something different, Famara awaits in the north: long, open, with the cliffs of Risco de Famara in the background and La Graciosa ahead. A beach for feeling the wind and needing a clear horizon.
